Welcome to the Clippy v2 Roadmap! As you may know, the original Clippy project on the Ethereum mainnet suffered a rug pull, leaving many community members with drained tokens and a loss of trust in the project. However, the Clippy community was determined to revive the project and restore its value and make it better. That's why we have created Clippy v2 on the Arbitrum One blockchain, with enhanced security and a fairer distribution system., and of course cheaper gas fees.
We have transparently worked with the community from the minute the original DEV abandoned the project. We immediately started a Discord Clippy Community. From that moment on, a group of investors from Clippy V1 formed an admin group to manage the migration to V2. All V1 Token holders were asked to send in their V1 Clippy Token in exchange for 1:1 V2 token. About 70 community members participated in sending their V1 tokens or sending LP in ETH.
Community Admins have asked the community through Discord votes prior to making any decisions, including the idea to launch Clippy V2 on Arbitrum network. Within a few days Admin DEVS launched a new version of Clippy, airdropped new Clippy tokens to holders and attempted to raise money on Pinksale with not much success. With Pinksale launchpad failure, the Admins discussed with the community and launched yet again a new smart contract, which is the current version of Clippy.
It was not an easy task to get to where we are today. We thank you for your continued support and trust in the Clippy project. Let's work together to build a stronger and more resilient Clippy ecosystem!
